In order to participate in any activity sponsored by the Young Pianist Competition of New Jersey, you must be a fully paid current member of the competition. Teacher Membership fee is due annually by April 1.

For renewal teacher-members:
YPCNJ membership is valid April 1 – March 31. It is a yearly fee, not seasonal.
For those members who renew their membership after April 1, a late fee of $10.00 will apply.
Membership Fee must be paid by a separate check ONLY. Member's name must be listed in the memo section of the check. Checks that include other fees will not be processed and will be returned.
The Competition has three separate membership divisions:
- Piano Teacher
- Chamber Music Teacher

In order to be eligible to become a member of the Young Pianist Competition of New Jersey, teachers or students must reside in the Tri-State area or Pennsylvania.
Members will be informed of Competition events. We have a biannual newsletter and seasonal press releases. All of the members are welcome to participate in our various Competitions, Workshop Recitals, and other upcoming events.
For membership, complete and return our downloadable membership application with the appropriate fee. Make sure that you have a valid E-mail address. Applications can be submitted electronically to email@example.com. Checks must be sent separately to:

Those teachers who chose not to become a member of YPCNJ before the competition is held, but have a winning student, will not have their name listed in the winner’s recital program and will not receive certificates of excellence.
Please note: Teacher members are responsible for distributing their membership number to their students. If you misplaced your membership number and need to locate it through the office, only e-mailed (firstname.lastname@example.org) inquiries will be accepted. NO TELEPHONE INQUIRIES WILL BE ANSWERED!
Teachers can only send a student to participate in various competitions if they have been teaching this student for 6 months or more, and only with new repertoire.
Membership checks MUST be sent in separately. Checks that combine application and membership fees will be returned, and application will not be processed (late fees will need to be paid). Membership fees without the filled out application will not be processed (late fees will need to be paid).
