- Application fee, which need to be submitted via PayPal, Venmo or Zelle or a personal check. Electronic Payments: via PayPal or Zelle to ypcnjoffice@gmail.com or Venmo to @Lana-Ivanov-2. Make sure it is listed as family and friends and NOT a business. Please list the Individual's name in the transaction.

- A copy of artist biography in Word Format (not PDF), a professional headshot in formal concert attire in electronic format (JPEG) separate from the biography.
If submitting the application late (no later than May 4, 2024), Late Application Fee is $115.00

Recital Fee: $450.00 (this fee includes 2 rehearsals with the Orchestra). This fee needs to be paid during final round.
GENERAL INFORMATION, REPERTOIRE REQUIREMENTS & APPLICATION PROCEDURES:
Requirements: Contestants must choose one (First Movement) or two (Second & Third) movements from the required concerto repertoire listed below. In the Preliminary round, the judges will listen to an unaccompanied solo part with the cadenza, if there is one.This Competition is for piano and violin students up to the age of 10. The Prizewinners will be performing their winning concerto movement(s) with the Somerset Symphony Orchestra . The Judges reserve the right not to award any Prizes.

The Preliminary Round: Contestants must submit a YouTube recording of their unaccompanied memorized solo part.
The recording must be also include by a copy of their working score of the piece and submitted in a PDF format. The application must also include contestants biography and photograph which can be used in all publicity materials.
Judges from the Preliminary Round will make their selections of contestants for the Final Round.
Final Round: Contestants will perform their concerto with an accompanist in front of the judges. Contestants are responsible for their own accompanists. All orchestra tutties must be cut during the final round. Teachers may accompany their students during the Final Round. Contestants must bring an original score and one copy for the judges.
RECORDING REQUIREMENTS: The video must have clear sound quality.
The email with the YouTube video link must be accompanied by the following:
- Performer's name, age and membership number (if applicable)
- Teacher's name and membership number
- Division name and code number
- Composition name, Opus numbers, key, etc.
- Composer's name
- Performance time
