GENERAL INFORMATION, REPERTOIRE REQUIREMENTS & APPLICATION PROCEDURES:

The Preliminary Round Application must be accompanied by a copy of the working score of the piece, which should be submitted electronically in PDF format. The Preliminary YouTube video could be with or without the accompanist, however, if performing with the accompanist make sure that the solo part is very clear. Winners of this division will perform their concerto at our winner's recital.  Contestants are responsible for their own accompanists.  All orchestra tutties must be cut during the final round and the concert.

Performance with the Somerset Symphony Orchestra $600.00

GENERAL INFORMATION, REPERTOIRE REQUIREMENTS & APPLICATION PROCEDURES:

The contestants must perform an entire concerto from the Standard Piano Concerto Repertoire, including one movement concerto. The Preliminary Round Application must be accompanied by a copy of the working score of the piece, which should be submitted electronically in PDF format.  The recording must contain the entire concerto and a cadenza.  The Preliminary YouTube video could be with or without the accompanist, however, if performing with the accompanist make sure that the solo part is very clear.

RECORDING Labeling Information

This information must be included in the E-mail which will accompany the link to your recording

 

Each recording submitted to the competition must be labeled as follows:

 

  1. Performer's name, age and membership number (if applicable)
  2. Teacher's name and membership number
  3. Division name and code number
  4. Composition name, Opus numbers, key, etc.
  5. Composer's name
  6. Performance time

 

Improperly labeled recordings will not be accepted.
